Bus: the nearest bus stop is situated in the centre of Bítov village, opposite the Local Authority office. There are frequent connections heading in the direction of Znojmo, Moravské Budějovice and Jihlava. To reach the castle from the bus stop you need to walk approximately 2 km following a forest track or road.
Train: the nearest train station is approximately 16 km from Bítov in the village of Šumná, with connections to Jihlava and Znojmo.
Boat:regular boat services operate in July and August. In June and September you can hire the boat. The pier is directly below the castle – 10 minutes’ walk up the hill. You can enter the boat from the dam of Vranov reservoir. The voyage taking you to just below Bítov is 14.5 km long.
Car park: you can park your car above the castle. From the car park you will need to walk about 600 m downhill on a tarmac road. Parking directly in front of the castle is forbidden without special permission.
